Therapeutic Recreation

Ocean Gardens’s Therapeutic Recreation Department accommodates the resident’s requests and offers a wide range of organized and individualized activities. Our renovated activity room offers Internet access computers, a kitchenette for cooking groups, 60 and 40 inch Smart TVs, 220 gallon fish tank, on-site beauty salon, ventilated smoking area and new outdoor patio furniture for family and residents to utilize. Our experienced recreation staff, directed by a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, is prepared fo provide each resident with guidance on any leisure or special needs they may have. Activities are diverse to insure each individual admitted to our facility is able to maintain any current interests and hobbies, as well as identifying new ones. Residents are encouraged to join the Resident Council lo make recommendations and voice their thoughts as well as offer suggestions, they also choose places of interest and local attractions for weekly trips. Our goal is to provide a positive source to add to each resident’s quality of life.
